Willard Brown. Monte Irvin. Willie Mays. Larry Doby. Johnny Wright. Max Manning. Bill Greason. Ernie Banks. Don Newcombe. These are just a few of the names of those brave men, who in spite of facing discrimination and segregation at home, in spite of being scared and uncertain about the future, rose their right hand and stepped forward to serve this country anyway. Even as a veteran myself, that is a level of sacrifice I still stand in awe of. To all who served, past, present, and future, thank you. Happy Veterans Day.
